LAL-MIA-DAL Bron and Kyrie re-unite for last dance in Miami

LAL-MIA-DAL Bron and Kyrie re-unite for last dance in Miami

I don’t see Heat as a true Giannis contender as they don’t have assets to please teams in full rebuild, but they have some good players who can still contribute.

In this case, Pelinka refuses to give Lebron another 50/y 1+1, he is insulted, calls old Pat and forces his trade to Heat vis SAT. In exchange Lakers get a solid starter with defense in Wiggins and 2nd round pick for their service.

Then Heat send expiring Herro to Dallas in exchange for Kyrie. Tyler is much younger, he fits in Coops timeline better, he is a former all star and he white. Mavericks also get 13 pick so now they have 2 lottery picks in historically stacked draft.

Can this team get to NBA Finals?

NBA Mock draft with every pick explained

To begin with, that’s a “what I think will happen” type of mock with sime unconventional picks based on my perception of specific teams’ logic.

  1. Dybantsa. He will go first, period. Either to Utah or Washington. The appeal and narrative is too strong.

  2. Peterson. Again, if his medicals are good, you shouldn’t pass on him. Let’s presume they are.

  3. Boozer. I rank him top-1 but I understand the concerns many people have. Either way, he just looks like Kleiman’s guy with all these advanced metrics.

  4. Wilson. Easy, you take best of what’s left from top 4. Plus he can SLAP.

  5. Acuff. I don’t care you have Garland. Acuff is generational offensive talent. You take BPA and he is him.

  6. Mara. People in NYC just don’t care, both Knicks (Tingus Pingus) and Nets (5 frp, 3 of them pg, Demin at 8) are ok with making unconventional picks. Wemby’s performance drives Mara’s stocks that high. Yes.

  7. MBJ. One of the highest offensive talents with zero shot discipline. At worst you are getting Jalen Green here. Kings will eat that.

  8. Wagler. Atlanta targets big universal multipositional players, they’re fed up with tiny PGs. Wagler is ideal fit.

  9. Burries. You don’t take PG here to stand in the corner while Coop and Kyrie are cooking. Burries with his combo guard skills, shooting and elite D is a great fit next to Flagg.

  10. Ament. I don’t like it, but maybe he is the next Giannis. At least Bucks will hope so.

  11. LEBRON. Yes, we have “Lebron to the Warriors” at home. Personally I’d prefer Steinbach here, but Dunleavy said he wants to take some offensive and bh load off of Curry so Philon is the choice. And he is GSW fan btw.

  12. Yaxel.

  13. Flemings. “They expect one of us in the wreckage brother”. Heat nead some fire and decency on both parts of the floor, he is just that. You won’t pass on him at 13 even though Carr is appealing here as well.

  14. Steinbach. Lamelo shoots a brick, Hannes gets a rebound, passes to Lamelo, Lamelo shoots a brick, Hannes…

  15. JQ. Can’t shoot, can’t dribble, can’t pass. But who needs that when you can just SLAP.

  16. Carr. Oooh that’s a toughie. Carr or Morez. It’s the only 50/50 in my mock. I like both. However I think Carr’s 7+ ws paired with Coward’s 7,2+ ws is just too interesting guard-wing combo to pass on it.

  17. Morez. That guy is a monster and immediate steal of the draft. Mind my words.

  18. Karim. Cool all around player, he and Lamelo can have a good time reminiscing good old Australian league days.

  19. Anderson. This team desperately needs some offensive talent infusion. Adding best shooter of the draft can fix them.

  20. Luigi. I don’t think they even need anyone with this pick, they are just fine. In this case they just steal potential Wemba counter ftom other competitors. He and Wemby is an intriguing duo but I can understand Graves here as well.

  21. Stirtz. When Cade sits, someone should orchestrate the offense on comparable level, at leat try to do so. Stirtz is best of what’s left in this role.

  22. Swain. If he somehow fixes his shot, he is JDub 2.0.

  23. Cenac Jr. You need good centers, Okongwa is not the answer. Cenac is simply the best young option on the board.

  24. Veesar. KAT replacer on minutes without KAT so Knicks don’t have to change their playing schemes. They can even play together in some lineups.

  25. Tounde. It’s hard times for Lakers fans. You need both inside and perimeter defence. I mean you litterally have no D. And all your FA are getting pay raise so you need that low money rookie to produce. You can either add Tounde to fix perimiter D or Tarris Reed to fix paint D. I think Yessofou just has more upside as a freshman.

  26. Ebuka. Can carry some offensive load when Jokic or Jamal rest. Maybe Jamal gets trades this offseason and than Okorie is your savior.

  27. Reed Jr. Just enother Queta-like center for the Crltics system. Joe will get the very best out of him.

  28. Meleek. As we’ve just seen, this team needs so much more to contend. But adding secondary bh and shot creator off the bench is definitely right way to go.

  29. JJ. I don’t know, I just love his defensive playstyle fit so well with this team. I would consider Chinyely and Ejifor here as well btw.

  30. Evans. Lazy pick, just pleasing Coop with his old friend, maybe the reunion will bring him back to life.

OKC doesn’t loose Hartenstein for nothing, Memphis gets a backup for Edey

This new apron era is harsh and OKC has a tough decision to make this summer. They should let either IHart or Dort or both go otherwise they are taxpayers.

In this case, they pick up IHart’s team option and trade him for TPE, formed by JJJ trade (28,5 mln vs 28,9 mln). They get a 1st round pick in exchange and fall below tax line.

Memphis gets a solid backup for Edey who will probably be a starter during the most part of the season (sorry to say that). They can either give him an extension or move in the trade deadline to some desperate teams like Lakers for some more assets.

Memphis Grizzlies point guard situation

Right now we have plenty of small guys on point guard position, here is the list with their height (barefoot) measurements:

Ja Morant - 6.2

Ty Jerome - 6.4

Scottie Pippen Jr. - 6.0

Cam Spencer - 6.3

Javon Small - 6.1

Walter Clayton Jr. - 6.2

As much as I love Ja, it feels like Keiman has had enough of him and is ready to move him basically anywhere for any type of compensation. Some rumors I’ve heard of during trade deadline were Raptors (for Quickley), Heat (for Herro) and Bucks (for Rollins) so in this case we are still stuck with 6 PG on the roster.

And there’s a chance we draft another one, as Kleiman has recently interviewed Acuff and Philon, who are my favourite guys from this class. That would be 7 PG in one team, with 15 man roster limit that sounds absurd.

With that being said, what do you think we should do? Trade older guards (Ja and Ty) for positional fit (backup center)? And who of younger ones you believe in most? Small had an impressive season with 44% from three, but can he be a starter for this team?

Players who have met with the Grizzlies at the Combine

So according to yahoo here is the list of players Zach Kleiman has conducted a closed interviews with during Draft Combine:

Nate Ament, forward, Tennessee

Cam Boozer, forward, Duke

Jayden Quaintance, center, Kentucky

AJ Dybantsa, forward, BYU

Yaxel Lendeborg, forward, Michigan

Darryn Peterson, guard/wing, Kansas

Chris Cenac Jr., center, Houston

Amari Allen, forward, Alabama

Darius Acuff Jr., guard, Arkansas

Labaron Philon, guard, Alabama

Allen Graves, wing, Santa Clara

No Caleb Wilson here so I think Zach has made it pretty clear he is sticking to the consensus and picking whoever falls to us from the big 3 (probably Boozer). And then there is a list of his other targets at 16 or higher with some trade up.

Who you guys prefer from that list with our second pick?
