Is this the normal way to do a return?
Hey yall!! So I purchased the new Natasha Denona palette the day it dropped and after stalking the fed ex guy I finally received it on Thursday. I open it and to my dismay I had 3 shades that were cracked and outta the palette. I swear I debated on even returning it but I was like ya know this is pricey and it needs to be in one piece. My Ulta doesn’t carry it so I called customer service to make sure I could return it to the store and they told me it would be no problem and if they had issues to just call them and they would assist. Ok great so I bring it to the store that evening to return and they told me it had to be 24 hours before I could return🧐 ok no big deal. I go back yesterday and of course we gotta call customer service. They get the return figured out, I also had to email a picture of the damaged palette to customer service which I thought was odd but whatever again no big deal. So the return is approved and they said that an email would be sent with a gift card for the amount of the return. Is this a normal process? Just curious as to why it couldn’t be issued in the store. Oh and as of today, Saturday, I’ve received the email saying that the return was processed but still no gift card. I’m also a lil bit salty cause now the damn palette is sold out🤬🤬
