I bought a glsswrk polarity mousepad and it arrived recently. Ive been loving it so far but im really scared about the surface of the pad accidentally getting scratched up. Im more specifically worried about random small particles from the air, or from my desk finding their way onto my mousepad, and me accidentally running my mouse over it and scratching up the surface.

Im getting a glsswrk polarity soon and it comes with a set of dot skates to put on your mouse if youve never owned one before.

How do you guys recommend I go about removing the skates on my mouse? Ive never removed the skates on any of my mice before and im worried about damaging my mouse. Its an endgame gear op1w v2.
