HR Zones While Running and Apple Watch Compatibility?
My Fitbit Air is supposed to arrive on Friday, and I have recently begun training for a marathon for the first time in my life. I regularly strength train, and I'm going for that "hybrid athlete" plan. For my runs and working out I currently use an Apple Watch series 5 and a chest strap HR monitor for accurate zone tracking, only when running. I like having the watch so I can constantly check what HR zone I'm in with ease.
I know the Fitbit can only read Apple data (for now), my question is, can the chest strap be connected to my Fitbit app so it can read directly from there? If not, my current workaround is keeping the Apple Watch on me and connecting the chest strap to that, and then Fitbit can import the Apple Watch data. Question for that is, am I able to choose the Apple Watch HR instead of the Fitbit HR when it's done?
