Is being a humanist bad? I always want the best for people, and I recognize that people are destroying the planet, but I want better for us in the future.

Is being a humanist bad? I always want the best for people, and I recognize that people are destroying the planet, but I want better for us in the future.
I put my blanket in the wash and it completely dissolved. What do I even do about this. I'm so pissed off I really liked that blanket. Now there's a million tiny pieces in my washer and I have no clue what to do.
Is it more ethical to let the people off the ship or not. I know, I know this is just another form of the trolley problem, but I want to hear y'all's opinions.
