Has doing nothing, or in other words, not constantly distracting yourself with your phone or other tasks helped your OCD? I’m working with a new therapist and I find that it actually helps me with fight or flight but it is always anxiety inducing to start this practice. I find that even when it is stubborn, sometimes it helps me calm down or stop responding to internal thoughts or needing a constant distraction, which usually leads to overstimulation. Can anyone share their thoughts or explain why it can work?
