do we really need to pay 1.55Lakh to confirm admissionn on the day of counselling?

i will have to take a loan, and my father is suspicious it'll not get approved (while it should i think i do hope sbi thinks the rankings and this college is good enough). i know it's refundable but since I've heard it takes too long to get the refund, giving 1.55lakh while not being sure (and maybe I'll give srmjee so I'll need some money and if refund takes long it's gonna be difficult) sounds risky to my father. idk how to convince him but he doesn't like the idea of giving tuition fees on the day of counselling. can't i first get offer letter by giving just admissionn fee??

did any applicant recieve any message/call/mail from chitkara? + impatient/frustrated post

last week i completed my application. it just shows "we will keep you posted on further updates (doc verification will be undertaken at the university.......)"

no message or anything after that. i didn't even know counselling schedule has been released.

yeah that's it. i had no idea what's about to happen so i asked the agent I've been assigned from the time i registered till completion of application. he then, after me asking him, told me that counselling schedule has been released already (i never knew!!?). i asked if im supposed to be there on xx shift and this is what i got as reply "[MyName] by next week admision you will receive call from Chitkara University of" *copy paste*

with how im not recieving any updates about anything anywhere unless i ask im very much concerned im about to miss something. maybe im worrying too early.... but yeah. i am not even connected to applicants of this year so im posting it here (if there's a way i can connect to 2026 applicants, any gc pls lmk because the lack of communication will definitely make me miss some important stuff

any senior or alumni who took loan for chitkara? would u recommend

I'll be taking a 10-12L loan for this college, im scared as hell. Im going to grind but i hope it's not a disastrous decision. going to take cse core. i think the environment there may help im scared of spending on cheaper colleges with less exposure and not even finding a job irrespective of having skills. but if there's some with similar opportunities and exposure pls lmk. for context i only scored 72%ile in jee so I don't really have other good options.

chitkara university vs jecrc foundation?

i may get IT in jecrc foundation (not university). it would cost till 8-9 lakh hostel included. but with chitkara cse (punjab) it maybe around 18L. now im so conflicted because I'll not take more than 5L loan (maybe even less) for jecrc but for chitkara I'll have to take atleast 10-12L or in worst case a lil more. what do i do? one has high risk high reward the other has safer fees but bad crowd and opportunies ;(

reap counselling starting soon and idk if i should even join

questions about poornima university for btech cse!

hey so im going to try getting admission in this college. im from uttarakhand and i really wanna move out (tmi but i wouldn't be lying if i say my home environment makes it hard for me to be focused and i definitely flunked my jee hard, neither have good percentage in boards). i like cse, that's my only academic interest and im gonna work hard and take this university as a grain of salt, will try my best to get good internships and off campus placement. i see people shitting on this uni a lot but it's one of the few ones i can afford (w a loan but cheaper ones for my range are either suspicious/fraud or plain bad w negative facilities if that makes sense. the negative stuff I've heard seems manageable for me.

  1. is there anything i should know? (negative)

  2. should i go for it? or is it THAT BAD. it can't be too bad i hope.

  3. on campus hostel for girls available?

  4. will they let you do off campus internships? considering i keep my attendance good, i think im good at that (well atleast till 12th i was)

  5. any bizzare restrictions or rules?

  6. do they provide library or study rooms for u to study incase hostel room is noisy? and if yes can you access it at nighttime and anytime (yeah excluding midnight and ungodly hours)?

  7. rough schedule for btech cse? do they pile up unnecessary assignments? a little here and there is manageable im fast enough but i hope it's not too much to affect my self learning.

  8. how is the admission process? is it just direct application to website or reap and which one should i go for?

  9. (optional) lastly any advice?
