Jacket for abrasion protection when using a Helite Turtle or MX armor?

Greetings!

I am rethinking my daily riding gear and would like to add a Helite Turtle for street riding and a set of MX armor for offroad use to my setup. Problem is, i have a hard time finding decent jackets with enough abrasion resistance to wear under the Helite or over the armor, since i do not want to buy a "complete" jacket with armor and stuff for like 500€. After all, i am basically just looking for an abrasion resistant shell, it could even be something like an anorak (like the Revit Blackwater).

Do you guys have any ideas?

Rethinking daily driver gear; Leather jacket with Helite airbag vest?

Greetings!

I use my bike for my daily commute all year round and only use the car if it's already pouring in the morning or if there is a chance for ice on the road.

I wear the Alpinestars Halo Drystar jacket and pants and am super pleased with them. The pants could be a little better ventilated, but the ability to open the huge vents on the chest and back of the jacket and remove the outer sleeves so that the armor stays on is just awesome! I only put on the included rain gear if it is already raining when i head home or if I need additional protection from cold winds.

However, I would like to upgrade my gear to a Helite airbag vest and on that chance, rethink my gear.

The Halo jacket is great but it is still "just" textile. What if I disconnect the armor from the abrasion protection? What about wearing a leather jacket without additional armor (maybe only on the elbows) and combine it with an airbag vest like the Helite? Maybe something perforated like the Revit Parallax for the higher temperatures. I would combine it with a windproof rain jacket (like the one from the Halo jacket) for colder temperatures and rain.

On that note, what do you guys think about an armor vest (like the ones for offroad use) under a leather jacket?

Greetings!

As the title says, i am about to leave my Tiger for a T7.

Used T7s are usually quite expensive still here in Germany, even with like 20k km on the clock. So price-wise i would not have to spend that much more money to get a brand new bike, that no one could have "ruined".

I am not super keen on the ride by wire throttle (another electronic piece that can break and can't be replaced in a pinch), but arguably these parts are so common today, that they are propably much more durable than one might expect. I don't really use different riding modes and actually hated the traction control (more like wheelie control) on my Tiger but i see the added security.

On the other hand, the suspension has much improved, i was told the lights are better and i actually think the new models look a little bit better.

So, are there currently any known issues with the new models? Are there strong reasons to actually consider an "old" model?
