Need help with Mac purchase

Hi everyone,

I’m a student/developer from Nepal looking to buy a MacBook Air for coding, game development, content creation, and long-term study/work use.

I compared prices locally and realized that high-end Windows laptops here already approach MacBook pricing. With India pricing, GST-related savings, and possible employee/friends discounts, the MacBook Air becomes realistically attainable for me.

I’ve heard Apple employees may sometimes have access to Friends & Family discounts (~15–17%), so I wanted to respectfully ask:

Would anyone be willing to guide me on legitimate ways to reduce the purchase cost, or possibly help through a Friends & Family discount if allowed?

I’m not looking to misuse anything or create trouble for anyone — just trying to make a smart long-term purchase as a student.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

TL;DR: Student from Nepal trying to buy a MacBook Air for development/study. Local premium Windows laptops are already expensive, so Mac makes more sense long-term. Looking for legitimate advice or possible Friends & Family discount guidance.
