7800X3D + (dual tower air cooler) NT-H2 vs MX-6 for long-term use?
I’m building a system with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a dual tower air cooler.
I’m deciding between Noctua NT-H2 and Arctic MX-6 for thermal paste.
My priorities are:
- long reapplication interval
- good long-term durability/stability
- solid cooling performance
- low pump-out over time
This PC will mainly be used for long gaming sessions at 4K, so I care more about long-term reliability and stable performance than chasing the absolute lowest temperature.
Which one would you recommend between NT-H2 and MX-6 for this kind of setup?
