Ghosted as soon as I my height was discovered

I have never felt more belittled in my entire life, after a long discussion last night over text with a girl I met on hinge that was going well. But I referenced that I was short in a story that I told and she went back on hinge unadded me and then later would block my number. It happened so fast it made me feel a type of way I can’t really explain.

22, Living on my own since 18 rent and bills are currently eating into my savings. I don’t want to work on cars anymore, what should I do?

after high school I had to leave as soon as I found a job or went to college, I tried college for a year and the pacing was just too much for me. I’ve been in manufacturing and now currently been an automotive mechanic for over year now and I haven’t made more than 17/hr without overtime yet my rent is now 1600 a month and this is one of the cheaper places in my area and with all my bills and expenses I now lose money every month. I feel trapped and have no idea how to switch careers to fix this without going off the rails.

Where did the narrative come from that says short people are fast when it’s usually the opposite that’s true?

When I was a kid I was so fast I was so much faster than anyone else in sports or whatever, but as soon as high school came I quit playing because everyone became so much faster and bigger than me this became obvious since I’m a adopted and most everyone my age in it is taller than me I would lose races against my 5’9 cousin who isn’t even a athletic girl at all. Short legs are absolutely brutal if you want to continue playing sports in high school and beyond. The data consistently shows taller people are faster than short people but the narrative is the opposite for some reason.
