Hello po! Please help me decide huhuhu 😭

My UPD dream just got revived.

UP just sent me an email, at ngayon hindi ko na talaga alam ang gagawin ko.

For years, kapag walang nakuhang slot ang isang DPWAS passer after 2 rounds, wala na talagang pag-asa sa UPD. But based on the email I received today, magkakaroon pa pala ng another DPWAS processing on June 24–25.

The thing is, hindi ako puwedeng basta sumali sa GA bukas. Kapag may na-offer na slot sa akin doon, whether i-accept ko man o i-reject, hindi na ako magiging qualified para mag-participate sa UPD DPWAS processing.

Please give me your opinions, kahit harsh pa yan (yes, pakisampal sa akin ang realidad 😊). Should I participate in the GA tomorrow (UPD, bakit ngayon ka lang nag-email? 🥲) or should I wait for the UPD DPWAS processing on June 24–25?

GA Cons: Kapag natanggap ako, baka goodbye na talaga sa UPD dream ko.
UPD DPWAS Processing Cons: Baka mas mabawasan pa ang slots na ma-ooffer dahil sa INB program.

Ang tagal kong nag-emote sa tiktok at x noong wala akong nakuhang slot during the last DPWAS processing. Mukhang narinig yata ang hinagpis ko at ang paghiling ko ng himala. 🥹

Hi po! How does the UP General Appeals process work? Ilang rounds po ang meron last year? How many degree programs po ang puwedeng piliin?

I also wanted to ask if it's possible to change my campus and degree program choices in the next round of appeals. For example, if I don't get accepted in the first round but qualify for the second round, can I choose a different campus and program then?

Hello po! I’m a UPD DPWAS passer who is now a GA applicant. To be honest, I’ve been feeling really hopeless lately, so I wanted to ask: was there a manual appeal process in UPM last year? If yes, do you know anyone or have you heard of anyone who was able to get admitted through MA? Thank you so much po!

- the UPG cutoff is higher, so i feel that fewer applicants may qualify to appeal there during GA period
Cons:
- the available programs are quite limited, such as bio, math, compsci, language and literature, physics, and social sciences

UPLB
Pros:
- there are more programs being offered, which gives me more options to choose from
Cons:
- some appeal restrictions apply, such as requiring a program to have been your 1st or 2nd choice
- since the UPG cutoff is lower, more applicants may be eligible to appeal, which could make competition tougher
