Hello everyone,
My background is Computer Engineering from TU with 73%, and I have an IELTS score of 7.5. Lately, I’m feeling really hopeless because I’m getting rejection after rejection from German universities.
Most of them say I do not fulfill the course requirements or required ECTS, even though the program is related to Computer Science.

Meanwhile, I see many CSIT students getting offer letters, so I’m honestly confused about what I’m missing or doing wrong. Maybe I’m applying to the wrong universities or courses.

If anyone from this group has a similar background in Computer Engineering from Nepal and has already received an offer letter or is currently studying in Germany, please help me with university selection and guidance.
It would really mean a lot right now. 🙏

Hello everyone,

Is anyone here from Nepal who studied Computer Engineering and is now doing a Master’s in Germany?

If yes, I’d really appreciate it if you could share,

  1. Which university you’re currently studying at, or
  2. Which universities you received offer letters from

I’m trying to understand where a Computer Engineering background from Nepal is getting accepted these days because I am getting a lot of rejections!

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I’m feeling a bit lost right now and could really use some guidance from people who’ve been through this.

My background:

  • BE in Computer Engineering (Tribhuvan University, Nepal) — 73.44% (2017–2022)
  • IELTS: 7.0
  • Around 4 years of professional experience in software development

I’ve applied to several German universities including Hildesheim (Software Engineering & Data Science), FAU (AI & Data Science), Siegen (Computer Science), Ilmenau (Data Science), Chemnitz (Web Engineering), and a few others… but unfortunately, I’ve already received rejections from all of them.

So far, I’ve spent over 170+ euros just on application fees, which honestly adds to the stress.

Right now, I’m still waiting to hear back from Kassel and Augsburg, but after so many rejections, I’m in doubt.

If anyone here has a similar academic background or profile and got accepted into a public university in Germany (especially in CS, Data Science, or related fields), I’d really appreciate if you could share:

  • Which university/course you got into
  • What you think made the difference in your application

Even small insights would mean a lot right now. Just trying to understand if I’m missing something or aiming in the wrong direction.

Thanks in advance 🙏
