I tested the same tabs and extensions across 3 browsers (Safari, Firefox, and Chrome) for RAM usage and was surprised
Ran on my macbook pro m3 pro with ublock origin on all browsers. Adding up the main process + subprocesses, the results were surprisingly:
- Safari~3,628 MB (3.63 GB)
- Firefox~3,424 MB (3.42 GB)
- Chrome~2,550 MB (2.55 GB)

I wish firefox was as fast as chrome
I really like firefox, but I downloaded chrome today after a long time and I'm legitimately surprised at the speed difference. Everything is so much snappier and quicker to load. Animations are better, youtube works way better, and the speedometer 3.1 rating is 13 points higher than ff on my Macbook. I've tried Dia, safari, comet, brave, and a few others but chrome is still the speed king.
