Do multi-port desktop chargers actually make sense for multiple laptops?

Do multi-port desktop chargers actually make sense for multiple laptops?

I’ve been using separate chargers for every laptop/device, and the power strip behind my desk is getting ridiculous.

I picked up a Cuktech 30 Ultra to try cleaning things up a bit. Main reason was the dual 140W USB-C ports and 4 total ports. It also has a little screen that shows watts per port, which I thought would be a gimmick, but I actually keep checking it to see how power gets split when I plug in another laptop.

Anyone here using one charging station for multiple laptops long term? Does the power allocation stay reliable when everything is pulling at once, or do these start throttling or overheating after a few months?

Or are you still using one charger per device and just living with the cable mess?

Rate the setup? 1-10?

For me it's a power bank. Not sexy at all, but I realized it quietly became the thing I grab every single day without thinking.

20K W/ built-in USB-C cable gets me through a full weekend trip without hunting for outlets. Probably the least interesting thing I carry and the one I'd miss the most.

What's yours?
