Something that surprised me when I dug into this, Canada’s oil supply chain has 5 stages - extraction, upgrading, transportation, refining, and end-product sales. Canada wins at the first two but refining where the highest margins live, happens mostly in the US.

Suncor is 70% US institutionally owned, and Cenovus’s largest single shareholder is CK Hutchison Holdings in Hong Kong. So the royalty is not going to CAN institutions.

So, I created a paper trading bot on Zerodha API to do swing trading. The code, stocks and entry and exit logic was given by Gemini. I don't really know any particular strategies. Gemini recommended to go with Momentum and it created the entry logic accordingly. Need insights into when I should starting using this Quant bot for real money trading ?

- Should i only look at total profit?
- Should I consider only profit trades or also include the loss making trades ?
