Female Drivers

Hello!

I have obtained my PHV license and due to onboard with Uber on Monday. I am a 25yo Female, and would love to hear from other female uber drivers regardless of age. I work full-time elsewhere, and will be doing uber part-time.

How do you find it?

Any tips?

p.s I am not interested in comments telling me uber is not worth it due to cost. I want to make that decision on my own, and have already invested money into getting the licence etc. This post is solely to hear from other female uber drivers, as it is very uncommon to see one.

Thank you :)

Kyleena - Mental Health Crisis

Hello!

So firstly, I am not writing this to fear-monger or put anyone off getting a kyleena, but I thought it would be helpful to share my experience.

I got the kyleena fitted 2 weeks ago (insertion was literally fine, just uncomfortable but they numbed my cervix which helped). Following insertion I was crampy and day 3 was the worst. However, this followed with debilitating nausea, where I could not eat at all or drink. I ended up losing 5kg in the first week and a half.

Shortly after insertion, my mental health deteriorated quite rapidly. I am overly sensitive to medication, and a few years ago when I had the implant fitted I also had a decline. However, following the kyleena I went into a mental health crisis, and nearly overdosed on pills due to how bad it was. I was assessed by the crisis team, and now having further support.

To note, I was low in mood prior to my Kyleena, so that is a factor to bare in mind however, the rapid deterioration was concerning and very unlike my character. It also gave me insane anxiety, which is not something I typically experience.

Again, this is not to scare anyone, but for the girlies who do have previous mental health conditions, or are known to be overly sensitive to medication, please discuss this with the clinic fitting this for you.

Today, I was very close to overdosing and if it wasn't for me being in A&E and being honest with how things got... who knows.

I am having this removed tomorrow.

I may consider the copper IUD, but after the few weeks I have had, and a relationship breakdown, I don't plan on getting this fitted anytime soon.

Kyleena Nausea

Hello,

So I got the Kyleena IUS fitted on the 13/07/26 and it is now the 18/07/26 and the nausea is honestly so debilitating. Pain wise the fitting was just uncomfortable, I was given local anaesthetic which helped, and was really crampy on day 3 which imo was the worst day.

However, I have been so nauseas to the point where I just cannot eat without heaving. I also have non-stop bowel movements and have no clue what to do. I have also been losing a little bit of weight due to how little I am eating.

I also still have some brown spotting which I am aware is normal.

Did anyone else have similar and if so for how long? This nausea is insane and I have pretty much been bed bound because of it.
