Southeast UK Hayfever in October?!

I’m fighting for my life here. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and thought I had another, but something about this is different. I’ve noticed huge amounts of Ragweed pollen popping up on pollen trackers every now and then, but I tend to take those sites with a grain of salt as they seem pretty inconsistent.

Anyone else in the SE struggling terribly with severe hayfever symptoms?

- Dry throat
- Congested nose (mainly one nostril that clears every now and then)
- Blocked ears
- Brain Fog

I’m a freelancer and have a 12 hour overnight shift tomorrow evening, I really don’t want to cancel it if it’s ’simply hayfever’.

Any help or further evidence that other people are struggling would be reassuring (sorry!) and much appreciated!

I’ve Mixed Live Audio for Half a Decade — Let Me Edit a Sample of Your Podcast for Free

Hi everyone,

I’m a professional sound engineer with 5 years of experience mixing live productions to thousands of audience members, and I’m currently looking to transition into podcast editing.

To build my podcast portfolio, I’m offering free sample edits to members of this community.

What I can help with:

• Removing ums, ahs, mistakes, and awkward pauses
• Noise reduction and audio cleanup
• EQ, compression, and loudness balancing
• Improving speech clarity and consistency
• Basic intro/outro integration

If you’d like to hear what I can do, send me a DM with a short section of your podcast (5–15 minutes is ideal), and I’ll edit it free of charge so you can judge the results for yourself before committing to anything.

There’s no catch and no obligation afterwards. I’m simply looking to gain experience in the podcasting space, build relationships with creators, and demonstrate the skills I’ve developed over the last five years as an audio professional on some of the worlds biggest productions.

Whether you’re just starting out or already have an established show, I’d be happy to take a listen.

Feel free to message me with any questions.

Thanks! :)
