Hey guys!

So I dropped Schadenfreude Occidental, 18 days ago on Royal Road. It is Ai-assisted, as I plugged all 10 chapters separately into Chatgtp for editing, and as a genre specific thesaurus. I keep each rough draft chapter separate as proof of idea and creativity.

Anywho I’m currently at 335 reads in those 18 days. I’m reaching out to any successful writers on the platform to see if that is a good start?

Also is it normal for readers to simply not leave reviews?

When done correctly and with honor, ai art cuts out the middle man.

The middle man? That’s interpretation.

I created the cover to my very first novella Schadenfreude Occidental using a cover I created in Midjourney. Picture #1 in doing so I worked on this for 3 days promoting and editing the cover the way I WANTED IT.

But then… I take the image and I commission THAT. The artist has two simple things to do.

1. Hand draw exactly what has been given to them and add their unique touch to make it ART

2. Get paid

There are sooo many negative things we can say about Ai art from copying to the environment.

However most people who generally just hate Ai art… I’m not impressed with your artistic abilities… especially if I feel my creativity (which is more than just writing a five word sentence and wait for the picture…) my creativity is better fit for a tool like midjourney there for when I give it to an artist it’s already perfected.

The reason I love Ai art so much is because I can work on a piece using prompts.. it’s a word game to get things just how I like. The first picture of my cover for Schadenfreude Occidental is what I came up with in Midjourney….. The second is then:

1. Taking that picture and giving it to an ARTIST to hand draw and

add their

1. own creative touch on the piece. They sell it back to me and it’s MINE.
2. I also do this with my writing. I take what I’ve written by chapter, place it into ChatGPT for editing and punctuation and flow
3. But then I go back one last time to edit THAT and fix things how I see fit.

I believe that doing the right thing goes a very long way. I get what I want, and I do the right thing by making sure an artist gets a gig as well. We all win.

Let’s get the machine moving Royal Road family! I’d love more quality reviews before I begin to add the add the rest of Act I. This story is a quick and too the point Novella. Hello I’m PYIF! Like so many of us, the US has felt the burn of being cast out as creative from many Japanese and South Korean gatekeepers and rightfully so.

In my humble opinion, it’s going to take a monumental story, a story that will SMACK Japan and South Korean AND CHINA, and make them realize there is an UNTAPPED OCEAN of creative minds ready for the taking.
