Website for human-made art

i created an only human art community website ,so artists can share their work, get feedback, discover other creators, and build their own galleries , its still small but the response so far has been interesting. If you're looking for a place that focuses entirely on human created art, you're welcome to check it out: https://chillart.pics

Is my art good for commission?

I'm planning to earn money to support my needs in college but I want to have commissions and I'm very insecure with my artstyle

Web app for digital art sellers

I recently built a tool to streamline the getting your art print ready process. I know there are multiple out there already, but none seemed to tick  the boxes for my needs.

My initial thoughts were to keep it as streamlined as possible, but now I feel I can add some extra features without making it too cluttered as efficiency was always top of mind.

Here it is: www.upratio.art

I’d love some feedback, so if anyone was open to testing it out and providing some, I’ll give you unlimited free access in return.

Much love

Working on AAA masterpieces, but my ArtStation is a ghost town

Hey everyone, just need a quick vent from a 3D Artist. I work at an outsourcing studio where we create assets, characters, and environments for massive, tier-1 global titles. But thanks to strict NDAs, I legally cannot show a single vertex of my work.
Seriously, my ArtStation looks like I’ve been completely unemployed or stuck in 2015. To the outside world, I haven't modeled a single thing in years. It feels so exhausting to watch a game trailer blow up at a major show and see the internet going crazy over an environment or a character I personally built, while I just have to sit there completely silent.
And it’s a total career trap, too. "Trust me bro, I modeled that famous boss character" doesn't really work during interviews when you’re trying to level up.
How do fellow 3D artists in the outsourcing trenches cope with making masterpieces you legally cannot prove you worked on?

Sci-Fi Cargo Crates

One thing I've noticed while building sci-fi environments is how quickly repeated props become noticeable.

To experiment with that, I created a second set of cargo crates, focusing on adding shape variation and modularity rather than simply increasing the prop count.

The goal was to make it easier to populate industrial areas, cargo bays, and space stations without every corner looking identical.

For those of you building environment asset libraries:

Do you prefer creating a few highly detailed props, or a larger collection of modular assets that can be mixed together?

I'd love to hear how other environment artists approach this.

Scam Alert: Warning about hiring Anthony Catillaz (ArticoLuminos)

Name: Anthony Catillaz (ArticoLuminos)
Reddit: u/devilmasterrace
ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/articoluminos
Website: https://articoluminos.com/

In April 2026, I hired Anthony Catillaz for a Steam capsule artwork commission. During initial discussions he was responsive and provided a written contract. However, after I sent the first payment, communication immediately ceased and no artwork was ever delivered. I have retained the signed contract, payment records, and email/Discord communications documenting the project timeline, work agreement, payment, and subsequent lack of delivery.

Afterward, I reviewed the projects and clients listed in his portfolio and website. I was able to identify and contact 13 individuals or organizations he claimed as clients. Based on those conversations, I found the following:

  • 4 clients reported paying for artwork that was never delivered
  • 4 clients reported receiving poor-quality, incomplete, or abandoned work
  • 4 clients stated they had never hired him despite being listed as clients
  • 1 client reported a successful working relationship with no issues

To protect the privacy of those clients, I'm withholding their personal information. However, the projects referenced are publicly visible, and others can independently verify these findings by contacting the same parties.

I also found a 2025 Reddit post from a client describing a similar experience: https://www.reddit.com/r/testimonials/comments/1n63q4d/neg_devilmasterrace_is_an_unreliable_artist/

I'm sharing this information to help protect others who may consider hiring this artist. If anyone else has worked with him, I encourage them to share their experience, whether positive or negative.

Note: I'm posting from a throwaway account to avoid possible harassment.

Sci-fi props

I've been trying to build a library of reusable sci-fi props for environment projects, and storage containers seemed like a good place to start.

The challenge was finding a balance between keeping the assets lightweight enough for real-time use while still giving them enough variation to avoid repetition across a scene.

I'm curious how you approach this problem in your own projects.

Do you prefer:

• More unique assets with higher production time?

• Or a smaller modular set that can be reused in different ways?

Would love to hear other artists' thoughts on it.
