Account creation is still tied to Epic Games account? Why?

I just tried to create a new account and I see the Sign Up page redirects to the Epic Games account creation page.

I thought the whole point of the recent ownership transfer was to get away from Epic. :)

@ /u/at_artstation Do we have any idea when this will be changed?

This is supposed to be a hobby, if you feel burned out or hate your life you are doing something seriously wrong and you should stop.

If you are doing this for fun and are not having fun you really need to do something. Either find what is wrong and fix it, or realize it's not for you and move on. There is no shame in that.
