How confident are you we retain the title?

I’m reasonably ok but its not going to be a stroll in the park. Perhaps my biggest concern is that we might rotate the two key centre midfield spots TOO much now that we’re - on paper - spoilt for choice in quality there, meaning that we don’t get enough of a bond/connection in that key area. Last season Rice and Zubimendi started 34 and 35 PL games respectively. Yes, it took it out of them but it was also the engine and perfect understanding that fired us to the title. I also have a slight similar worry up front. Yes in theory Havertz and Gyokores are still sharing the role of main starting striker. But because of injury, Gyokores started 2/3 of matches last season, and the team got to know his game a fair bit. The last couple of seasons Arteta has taken a bit of flak for under rotation in certain positions, but could the opposite be our undoing? Hopefully I’m talking out of my arse and we hit 100 points.

Huge increase in shirts on the streets

Anyone noticed a huge increase of visible Arsenal shirts out and about this summer (ie since we won the league?). I’m in Ireland and while of course it’s something you’d expect to an extent, the difference in the number of kids in particular wearing Arsenal colours this summer compared to the last ten summers is incredible! New fans or just proud to display the crest at last? 😂

I’m around Dublin and even last summer we’d be vastly outnumbered by Liverpool and Man Utd shirts (traditionally the two best supported teams in Ireland). Even more Man City shirts about compared to Arsenal. But now we seem to be broadly on a par with Liverpool and Man Utd shirts. I’m not complaining as I love to see us being successful but it is funny how quickly a bit of success can see a club catch fire. Is this being replicated elsewhere?

Regarding Tuchel’s “it’s maybe not in our DNA to take the ball and control the game with the ball” comment

I mean let’s call a spade a spade, he’s basically saying A) the players weren’t good enough and B) not only not good enough the other night, but (this group at least) WILL NEVER be good enough. What’s the point of keeping him on? Is he trying to get the sack?

Amazon.co.uk - start or switch?

I’ve got a Prime account. Didn’t move over to the Ireland site as the choice appeared smaller and the prices higher. But now we’ve been whacked with the €3 per item customs charge …. I will undoubtedly try to use it less frequently than before, but will inevitably still end up using it out of convenience/for the range of goods available. Which is better of the two now do you think? Are you switching?

Trip to Poland - which two cities should I choose?

I’ve narrowed it down to Warsaw, Wroclaw and Krakow. Will travel in June. Travelling solo. I’ve only got four nights but I enjoy taking trains so happy to break it up with a 3 hour train journey. I mostly just enjoy wandering around and soaking by in the atmosphere. I probably won’t be doing much tourist stuff or museums. Just wandering around , drinking and reading. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of a city but also enjoy taking in nice scenery. I live in Ireland and have travelled a lot around most other countries in Europe so not necessarily looking for a “wow so pretty” type destination. Interesting with a cool vibe is more important to me. Which two of those three should I choose to get a good first taste of Poland? Thanks.

Amazon UK - suddenly adding “import charges”?

Using Amazon.co.uk and I have a prime account. I went to buy a couple of items today (first time in a few weeks as was away on holiday) and suddenly they have big “import charges” added to the cost. Never had this before. Not on every item but on many items. Is this another way trying to push people to use the Ireland Amazon? I’ve stuck with the UK Amazon the last year or more because the prices and selection on Amazon.co.uk still seem significantly superior to the local Ireland Amazon.
