As someone who uses a flag totem...
I have to admit, the flags were ridiculous this year and were definitely blocking a lot of views. At the very least, people should keep them limited to the smaller size (2' x 3'). But I saw a lot of groups flying bedsheet sized flags or had two to three flags on their poles, both of which I think are completely unnecessary for finding your group when plenty of people can manage with just one small flag. Also if your pole is extendable, retract it once your group is together. It really doesn't need to be up for the entire set if no one is searching for it
