So my daughter and I went to see "coyote vs acme" tonight at the theater. It was a decent enough movie. But besides that I'm in the middle of a run of cheers and just happened to come home after the movie to watch season 4, episode 15 "the triangle". Where the gang discusses the coyotes eating habits and money situation. It was a lovely and funny coincidence and really tied the night together.

Well, as stated before, I started to watch this show "live" I'd say around 1988-1989. I was born in 1984. So for some reason in my small young imaginative mind the person singing the theme song to cheers was none other than our beloved Woody. I guess the voices sounded similar, I never asked my parents who it was singing just made an assumption. It was not until downloading the theme song on either kazaa or bearshare that I learned of the actual singer. (Bonus points if you remember those illegal download programs)

Also on this same line of thinking the line that says "and they're always glad you came". I thought he said " and they're always pladucade". What is pladucade? I have no earthly idea. A word I made up when I was 5 to fill in a spot of a line I didn't know lol!!! I'm not even sure that's the correct spelling.

Cheers really took off at the end of season 2 and got really good with the start of season 3. Maybe it's a hot take maybe it's not. I'm doing maybe my 20th rewatch or so.

And if you were lucky enough to watch the episodes in real time in the 80s, was this the case? I didn't tune into this world of cheers until about 1989, I was 5 and I didn't understand much of what they were talking about anyways lol I just laughed when my parents laughed.
