I had to check IMDb because I was certain episode 20 of season 8 was The Wizard and Roz (which I always hated) but my purchase of series on Fandango calls it The Wizard of Roz, which at least makes the joke more apparent. What does your streaming service call it?
Well last night I was inspired to listen to some Renata Tebaldi after watching Out With Dad.
What I really want to do is take a bath in the "proprietary blend". Has anyone done that, or what other Frasier-inspired activities have you enjoyed in real life?
I've specifically always wondered what order the sets were in. I've always guessed the apartment was central with the radio studio to the left and Cafe Nervosa to the right.
Also, as it was shot on film, were there any monitors for the audience to see what was going on? Or were you just left trying to see around all the technical equipment and work out what was going on?
(Note: sorry folks I got my two dates mixed up)
Today marks 33 years since the good Doctor's first last broadcast on KACL!
His first words were, "Listen to yourself, Bob! You follow her to work, you eavesdrop on her calls, you open her mail. The minute you started doing these things, the relationship was over! Thank you for your call."
Bob didn't speak so the next call was the very first guest caller, Russell (played by Girffin Dunne). He was one of the two backpackers/stars in "An American Werewolf in London" (the one who was killed right away!) and he also more recently played Nicky on "This is Us".
We learn the essentials of what happened in Boston, including the fact that "six months ago, [he] was living in Boston, [his] wife had left [him], which was very painful and then she came back, which was excruciating."
A few minutes later we see Niles and the famous lines,
Frasier: "yes, I know what you think about everything...when was the last time you had an unexpressed thought?
Niles: "I'm having one now..."
And their first coffee order was two café latte supremos. No mention of whispers of nutmeg.
And then came the talk about Dad!
Happy Frasier Crane Day everyone!
"She's a BEAUT!! Marty & I are going to spend a LOT more time here" says Sherry when she sees Frasier's 65th birthday gift for Martin, a theatre sized television. He was trying to outdo Niles, who bought him Agadis, the old horse he use to ride mounted patrol on.
Niles persuades Frasier to send back the big screen tv and the huge speakers, and shared the horse so that Martin didn't know. But Sherry did and she had such a big mouth, how did they convince her to stay quiet lol
We all deserve a little happiness.
I've loved this show ever since my mom introduced it to me almost two decades ago. The funny part is whenever Frasier was on after that, I'd be the one to turn to it instead of her. It was a running theme in our relationship; she'd watch a show with me and then my autistic ass would get hooked on it and force her to watch it more than she already was.
Idk if it’s bc i’m high but yes

Genuinely curious to see what everyone has to say.
I always envisioned her as a dirty blonde, with shoulder length, curled, classic Hollywood hair, waif-like, always in silk house dresses and ballet slippers, with a penchant for wearing an oversized woven sunhat, even indoors, and carrying a Cruella de Vil cigarette that's never lit, but she uses it to gesticulate when she's excited or upset.
Problem is, I could never envision her face, only a pair of rich lady sunglasses that obscure most of her features.
Season 3, episode 1, “Shes the boss”
I always respond to my adult offspring texts with frasier gifs. I want to make them too. If I make them and upload them, do they become available to the masses? They love frasier too.
In the episode where they meet, “Dinner at Eight” season 1 episode 3, Niles is struck by her beauty and asks “You’re Daphne?” two times. After the second time, she replies “it’s nice to meet you”. Then in the much later season 8 episode “Daphne Returns”, Frasier takes Niles into certain flashbacks to explore how he developed his feelings for her. One of these shows that original meeting in season 1 - yet this time, she says “right again” when Niles asks the second time.
I always thought that this scene showed the original one rather than having the characters reenact the scene since they both look much younger and how they did back in the first season, yet this difference makes me wonder whether there were two versions of it with the original airing and syndication versions being slightly different.
I know this is an extremely minute detail, but as a Frasier Sleeper who has seen both episodes literally over a hundred times, it stands out to me and makes me wonder about it every single time I see one of those two episodes! I thought that maybe someone here might know the answer. Thanks!
Breaking the Ice is such an underrated episode! Not only does it have some of the best lines and jokes (It smells like a fish died, and all the other fish sent flowers!), it’s such a pivotal episode regarding the Martin/boys relationship. Yet for some reason, I almost never hear anyone talking about this one…even on here?
What do you think of it?
In “Agents in America, Part III" (Season 2, Episode 22), I always thought Bebe and Frasier didn’t really sleep together and Bebe just wanted Frasier to think something happened. When they were on the ledge, Frasier tells Bebe that dying for him isn’t worth it. Bebe could have told him then that nothing happened, but instead makes the other comment about him thinking so highly of himself. Now, I think they actually did. What do you think?
Motor skills is one of favorite episodes. We became back row huligans. Fraiser and Niles breaking bad in a fun light hearted way are some of the best episodes. What are some of your favorites where the characters break bad?
And just noticed who De Niro’s boss was.Think he was stabbing a car door in a meeting.
Was waiting on “THIS IS BS…”
At first, I really didn't care for this episode. All the relatives we've never heard of before or since, and Patti LuPone's slightly over the top performance, etc.
I started to skip it during my multiple rewatches, but recently I've really come to appreciate it much more.
It's becoming one of my favorite episodes:
"I made you a promise and I'd die before I'd break it. 'Or soon after!' "
