is using seed map consider as a cheat in hardcore?
Do you consider using a seed map in Hardcore cheating? And if you call it cheating, what’s the purpose of using it without calling it cheating?

I’m 17 and had a left wrist X-ray on June 30, one day before my 17th birthday. My pediatric endocrinology appointment is August 31, so the X-ray will be about 2 months old.
It showed that my distal radius and ulna weren’t fully fused.(according to the radiologist)
Is a 2-month-old X-ray still useful for assessing bone age/growth potential, or could significant changes happen in that time at 17?
Would the endocrinologist likely use the existing X-ray or ask for a new one?
pain in the knee + raw milk (requires to have brucellosis)=holy height
yea wait for me 6ft (im 28 and 5’7)
Update / Apology
For those who saw my original post, I was playing Minecraft Java 26.2 Hardcore and accidentally fell from a very high place. I managed to pause the game right before I hit the ground, and I came to Reddit asking if downgrading to an older version could somehow bring back the old quit/reload behavior and save me.
I want to be completely honest about what happened afterward.
I did manage to save the world using a copy and some technical edits. But after everything, I realized something that honestly made me feel pretty awful: I shouldn’t have even asked the question in the first place.
The moment I paused the game, I panicked. I had spent so much time on that world, and the thought of losing everything because of one stupid mistake genuinely hurt. I wasn’t thinking about Hardcore anymore. I was just desperately looking for a way to keep something I had become attached to.
But that’s not what Hardcore is.
Death is supposed to be final. There isn’t supposed to be a loophole just because you managed to pause at the right moment. I knew that, and yet I still tried to find one.
And eventually, even though I technically managed to recover the world, I decided I couldn’t keep it. I deleted the world.
It honestly hurt to do it, but I felt like keeping it would just make me feel guilty every time I played it. I would always know that I didn’t really earn that survival.
I’m not writing this because I want people to tell me that what I did was okay. It wasn’t. I’m writing this because I needed to get this off my chest and clear my conscience. I felt like I owed the community an honest explanation instead of just disappearing after asking for help.
Looking back, I think the biggest mistake wasn’t even the editing. It was refusing to accept the death in the first place.
I got attached to a world, panicked, and couldn’t accept losing it. That’s the truth.
So I’m sorry. I genuinely am.
I deleted the world, and I’m going to start again from zero. This time, if I die, I die. No backups, no edits, no loopholes.
I know I probably don’t deserve any sympathy for this, but I hope you can at least understand why I panicked.
Thank you to everyone who called me out. I needed to hear it.
I’m sorry, and I hope you’ll still have me in the Hardcore community.
My beard is still pretty sparse at 17. I mainly have some growth on my chin and jaw, while my mustache is still underdeveloped and my cheeks are mostly empty. I don’t have a full beard yet.
I was playing on Minecraft Java 26.2 and accidentally fell from a very high place in my Hardcore world. I managed to pause the game before hitting the ground.
Since the old quit/reload trick doesn't seem to work anymore, I'm wondering:
If I make a backup of the world and open the backup in 1.20, could the old pause/reload behavior save me from the fall?
I haven't unpaused the world since I paused it.
Would downgrading to 1.20 potentially put my player back at an earlier saved position, or would it just load the same falling position?
I know downgrading is risky, so I would only test this on a copy of the world.
Hey guys, I measure my height at home using a proper measuring tape and a marker pen.
I stand flat against the wall, look straight ahead, place the pen as straight as possible on top of my head, and mark the wall.
With this method, my morning peak right out of bed is 176 cm (5'9.2") or around 175.5 cm,
but after a long day it drops down to 173.8 cm (5'8.4") due to spinal compression.
When I compare myself to friends who claim to be 174-175 cm, I feel like I look taller than them in person, but in front of a mirror we look almost the same (so it might just be a placebo effect in my head).
Based on this, what height should I officially claim? Also, is using a marker pen flat on the head against the wall accurate enough, or does it leave too much room for error?
I have an appointment with a pediatrician on Wednesday so they can refer me to a pediatric endocrinologist to review my X/ray and evaluate me. (That’s just how the healthcare system works here)
After that, I’m hoping I’ll finally get a clearer answer about my height and growth potential.
I hope Equal_Resort,Thra99 and Automatic-County’s predictions are true😭🙏
As many of you probably know, erdafitinib has recently been going viral among some teens who believe it can make them taller, even though many of them have had closed growth plates for years.
I’ve been reading about it out of curiosity, and it made me wonder about something.
I know erdafitinib is a cancer drug and not a treatment for increasing height.
However, since it targets the FGFR pathway, has it ever been studied as a treatment for achondroplasia?
If so, what were the results, and what side effects were reported and what was the possibility of the side effects?
I’m asking purely out of scientific curiosity, not because I plan to use it.
Hi everyone,
I posted here about 2 weeks ago asking about my growth plates and growth potential.
Today I remembered something that might be important.
Around mid-June, about 2 weeks before my X-ray, I measured my height at my aunt’s house. There was a mark on the wall, and after measuring myself multiple times (always in the morning), I was consistently 174 cm.
My left hand/wrist X-ray was taken on June 30, one day before my 17th birthday (July 1). The radiologist said my bone age was close to my chronological age.
Then, around mid to late July, I measured myself again in the same place, on the same wall, using the same tape measure, and at the same time in the morning. This time I measured 175.5 cm, and on a second measurement I was closer to 175.8 cm.
So if my measurements are accurate, it looks like I grew about 1.5 cm in roughly a month after the X-ray.
Looking at my X-ray myself, the growth plates in my fingers seem completely fused, and the ones in my wrist look very thin and close to fusion. Because of that, I didn’t expect to grow this much afterward.
Does this change how you would interpret my remaining growth potential?
If needed, I can upload the X-ray.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been stressing about this for a while and wanted to hear some opinions.
Age: 17
Height: 175.5 cm (morning)
Dad: 165 cm
Mom: 163 cm
Bone age: Close to my age
Growth plates: Still open (distal radius & ulna)
My approximate growth history:
10th grade: ~165-168 cm
Beginning of 11th grade: ~170-172 cm (started taking d3k2)
Summer before 12th grade (now): ~174-175.5 cm
I was usually shorter than most of my classmates growing up, and my growth seemed to happen later than many of my peers.I was around 5’0-5’3 at middle school.
I’m physically active, play basketball almost every day, swim occasionally, and try to eat enough protein.
The only thing I’m struggling with is sleep. I’ve become so anxious about my height that it’s been affecting my sleep, which only makes me worry even more.
I’d love to hear your opinions or if anyone had a similar growth pattern.
Hi, I’m 17 and recently had a left hand/wrist X-ray to check my bone age. My pediatrician said that a left hand/wrist X-ray is all that’s needed for bone age assessment.
When the radiologist looked at it, she asked if they had only taken my wrist. She said that the shoulder, hip, and elbow are also needed, that the growth plates in the hand can close before the ones in the hip, and that my distal radius and ulna growth plates are still open. He also said that having open growth plates on radius and ulna doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll grow taller.
Now I’m confused because I’ve always read that a left hand/wrist X-ray is the standard for bone age. Was the radiologist talking about something different, like overall skeletal maturity or remaining growth potential? Or is a hand/wrist X-ray alone not actually enough?
I’m turning 17 in 2 days and I’m 175 cm (5’9”). I hit puberty around 14 so I think I was a bit of a late bloomer I don’t remember my height when I was younger, but I was generally one of the shorter kids. I’ve passed both my mom and dad in height. I also grew about 2–3 cm in the last 6 months. I’ve been taking vitamin D3 + K2 as well.
Do you think I still have a chance to grow a few more centimeters? Has anyone here grown after 17?
