Is this good positioning on the piece of wood to support the engine while I do the timing chain?

How does one remove this dent

My guitar amp fell out of my seat when I opened the door and this happened. I was thinking of a glue puller kit. You guys think that will get me most of the way?

I was thinking of replacing the pcv just as a preventative and was thinking there must be a better way. I know that I can do a catch can, but I live in a winter state and I'm not sure how safe that would be. I want to run the catch can, but I want to know if there is a good way to set it up for the winter. Any input is helpful
