New PC build- no signal and no clue
I am brand new to PC building and recently built my first PC after my previous one finally kicked the bucket.
I used pcpartpicker.com with a trusted friend who has built several PCs to get all my parts together.
Right now:
Motherboard: b650e max gaming WiFi w
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8 core 16 thread
RAM: Crucial DDR5 Pro 32 gb
GPU: PNY GeForce RTX 5080
(I’m not sure if that covers all the important info lmk)
These parts were all listed as compatible. Additionally the ASUS website for the motherboard claims the motherboard is updated to BIOS with my current CPU.
As far as I can tell, every cable, ram stick, and the gpu is plugged in properly. And I mean it. Those suckers are not budging without me breaking my fingers and they clicked in when inserting them. Just take my word.
All fans are spinning on the chassis and the GPU. When the monitor is plugged in it gives me No Signal and enters power saving mode.
Internet stuff said try maybe with only one RAM stick, did and it did not work.
There are no blinking lights on the motherboard or anything. This excludes the power button which is a steady blue light. When the keyboard is connected LEDS light up but the Caps and Numlock keys do not light as being enabled/disabled.
I have tried both HDMI and DP cables, which worked previously with the monitors I used for my last tower which I’m using again. I’ve even tried both ends of each and that changes nothing.
Internet points to this being a BIOs issue which I don’t understand. None of these parts are second-hand. And the process of installing new BIOS sounds like a nightmare when I’ve already waited 2-3 weeks for all these parts to deliver. Any help is appreciated as I am brand new to this.
