Tips for bringing out freckles but avoiding a full on burn?

I love my freckles but as an adult I’ve gotten more careful with burning (sun poisoning will do that!) so I’ve lost the splattering sun kiss freckles I had as a child, especially on my face. Any products or tips for bringing out the freckles while avoiding a gnarly sunburn?
