I feel really so so bad. Me and a group of friends recently went on a trip and rekindled all our friendships and this friend in particular i had gotten super close to during the trip. During the trip, I had just started drinking and after the trip, i would often get drunk by myself and message this friend and another friend. Yesterday, i drank more than usual and texted the friend and said some things i really should not have said that probably really hurt them. It ended with them saying i think we’re done here and i drunkenly said more bullshit. Now its the next day and i regret my whole life. My other friend said the friend is horrified at what happened and does not want to speak to me. I felt so bad and went out to get flowers as an apology. The same group was going to meetup and have lunch so i thought it’d confront her before lunch and apologize. When time came to ask her to have a word, she is understandably is mad and doesnt want to see me. I keep asking but then she gets mad and asks me to please stop. I reply ok sorry. I feel so bad and i hate myself so much for letting myself get so drunk and not watching what i say to the people i care about. Now i think ive lost her as a friend forever even though we were close just a week ago. I feel so guilty and do you think there is any way i can earn her forgiveness becuase i really dont want to lose this friendship over something stupid i said when i was drunk. Lesson learned dont drink alone. Any advice would be nice.
