Dyson stick vacuum drawbacks?

I’ve seen a lot of praise for Dyson vacuums, but I’m so weary of spending that much money on something i already have (cordless stick vacuum for $80).
My biggest complaint with my Hoover stick vac is that i have to spend 15 min unclogging the stick like every time i use it. With a dog and two cats, the shedding is INTENSE. but i really don’t want the bulky corded Dyson either.

Dyson stick owners, how often do you have to unclog the thing? I’ve seen some complaints about battery lifespan and run time. Is the performance of the Dyson really worth paying triple what i already spent on my other stick?

Thank you !!

We’ve been to multiple vets multiple times, here’s summary:
-household has one dog and two cats. All are on frontline, with monthly reminders so it’s never delayed.
-everyone seems very happy, all are eating peeing pooping playing sleeping. Cats have multiple areas devoted to their enrichment and happiness.
-both cats have missing patches of fur. One cat chews on the base of her tail to the point of scabbing. The other just has missing hair on leg and belly. No scabs.
-Tried two rounds of Atopica for allergies, no improvement.
-changed their bedding and their favorite areas on hot cycles with natural soaps, no change.
-tried switching to skin focused foods, neither cat would eat it at all.
-stool sample came back clean but that was a year ago

Both vets say to just keep on with preventative, but it’s been over a year and they’re still having issues. Doesn’t frontline prevent mites ? It’s the only thing i can think that might be doing this but according to the vets they shouldn’t be dealing with mites.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you !
