Association Between Menopausal Hormone Therapy and Alzheimer Disease Neuropathology

~39% lower odds of dementia associated with menopausal estrogen-only hormone replacement therapy. So not only is HRT safe if started early during menopause in terms of strokes and heart attacks, but apparently it may also lower dementia risk (or, maybe women who get HRT are better educated, are more affluent, and have better health habits, and are therefore less likely to get dementia).

Get cheap HEB deliveries

Sharing this because it was complicated and non-intuitive for me to figure out, and I know others could benefit from it:
PSA: Want affordable HEB grocery deliveries at lower prices than curbside pickup on the HEB app? To get this, for $50 per year (plus optional driver tips) with no markup on groceries, this is the way:

  1. get a target circle debit or credit card (free, and there’s no credit check hit or anything with the debit card).

  2. Get a target circle 360 membership. It’s discounted from $100 to $50 annually if you get the card in step 1. You can get a free trial for now. If your card gets activated before the trial ends, it should automatically transition your target circle 360 account to the discounted rate (although you might want to switch from monthly to annual billing to maximize the discount).

  3. Create a Shipt account by signing in with your target account. Due to having target circle 360, the ~10-12% markups on items at HEB and other stores will be removed from Shipt. Surprisingly, this makes prices even lower than on the official HEB app too, suggesting that HEB marks up prices on their app for curbside delivery.

  4. Order HEB grocery deliveries on the Shipt app. Deliveries will be free as long as they’re larger than $10. Tipping is optional and under your control. The app defaults to a 10% or $5 tip at the checkout screen, which you can change. As I said, this actually makes groceries a bit cheaper than with curbside pickup with the official HEB app, although tipping may balance out those financial gains. You still save time though.

Why not use HEB’s official delivery partner, Favor, with their Gold membership? Favor only offers a small selection of HEB products. It’s probably more marked up too, but I never got that far looking into it because of the selection limitation.

Troubleshooting:
Shipt defaults to your closest HEB. If you want a specific item that may not be at that location, search for it on the HEB app at that location. If it is not in stock at that location, switch store locations on the HEB app to the next closest one, or the one you prefer, and see if that one has it. Once you find a location that has the item, email support@shipt.com and ask them to change your HEB store location to that one for you (you may have to request forwarding to the customer experience team).
