Tamron 28-300mm f/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD or 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD

Hi, I am looking to buy a zoom lens for my sony A7IV, and I am between these two lens. The price is pretty simliar, the 28-300mm is slightly cheaper at 600$, where the 50-300mm is at 650$. From what I read the 50-300mm will have better pictures, sharper, and also a higher magnification. But the 28-300mm seems to be more versatile and in general for travel. I currently have a 50mm f1.8 lens. I also generally only take 1 lens with me when I use my camera, which is why I am slightly more leaning towards the 28-300mm. Anyone got any thoughts/rec on which one I should get? Thank you

Github pro with education pack

Hi I renewed my education pack, and it was approved. But github pro isn't applied to my account. Is this no longer automatic? Like do I have to the subscrutopion page and do the upgrade cuz I notice it says it is $4/month, but it says $0 is due today? Am I supposed to this or has the education pack not applied to my account properly?

Thank you

Should I get extended warranty?

Hi, I am planning on getting a sony a7iv, and I was wondering if I should get the extended warranty since I am buying an expensive piece of equipment. I feel like I am not a very clumsly person, but I feel like it might be worth it? I'ts 199 for 2year and 285 for 4year. Any advice? Thanks.

P.S. also anyone have exprience dealing with sony warranty, how was that?

Hi, I just want to get some recommendation for getting a camera for getting started doing photography as a hobby? I have a budget of around 1500 give or take for just the camera body, any recommendations for that price range? I probably want something on the nicer side (for that price range) that would last a couple of years. Thank you.

(1) Budget, country, and currency: Around $1500 give or take, I'm in the US, so US

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs? None

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot? Everything I guess, so something versatile

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both? Photography, but I would like it to be able to shoot video as well
