Northbound Network is Recruiting Helpers | Founding Staff Team

Northbound Network is a new Minecraft Lifesteal server preparing for public launch, and we are now recruiting our first Helper team.

Northbound is currently in pre-launch development with a strong brand direction, professionally hired developers and builders, and a long-term vision to become a competitive, creator-friendly Lifesteal network.

This is a genuine staff role for people who want to help manage, support, and grow a new community from the ground up.

About the Helper Role

The role is focused on player support, community engagement, basic first line moderation, feedback, and helping create a fair and welcoming environment.

Helper Responsibility	What It Means
Welcome new players	Greet players, make them feel included, and help create a strong first impression
Support player retention	Help new and existing players stay engaged with the server
Answer questions	Provide guidance about rules, commands, Lifesteal systems, Discord, and server features
Help players directly	Give advice, tips, and support without always waiting to be asked
Monitor chat	Watch for toxicity, spam, arguments, rule concerns, and negative behaviour
De-escalate issues in Moderation	Stay calm, use good judgement, and help settle minor problems before they grow
Report serious issues	Escalate rule breaches, bugs, exploits, or staff concerns to senior staff
Provide feedback	Suggest improvements to builders, developers, and leadership as the server grows
Test server systems	Help identify bugs, gaps, confusing systems, or areas that need improvement
Represent the server	Act professionally in-game and on Discord

What We Are Looking For

We are aiming to recruit around 8 Helpers across major timezones.

Activity	Must be willing to spend time on the server

Feedback	Willing to give suggestions and help improve the server
Meetings	Able to attend fortnightly department meetings where possible

Pre-Launch Notice

Northbound Network has not fully opened to the public yet.

During this stage, you may mainly see staff, applicants, testers, and other early players online. This is expected.

Applicants will be asked to spend time on the server before being considered, so they can understand the gameplay, rules, vision, and community direction.

During this time, we strongly encourage applicants to provide feedback, report bugs, suggest improvements, and help us identify anything that could improve the server before public launch.

Future Progression

Helper is currently an entry-level staff position.

However, we are building Northbound with long-term staff progression in mind.

This is not just a “chat title” role.

We are looking for people who actually want to help build something.

Important Application Process

Before applying, we ask that you:

It allows you to decide whether Northbound is a project you genuinely want to be part of, and it allows us to see whether you understand the community, gameplay, and direction of the server.
