How long does it usually take after a verbal offer?

I was verbally offered the role about 4 weeks ago, completed background check about 5 days ago and passed. Submitted the EoE, but the written offer is stuck with the VP approver. Recruiter has been sort of MIA - can I expect them to pull the offer since it's taking so long? Anyone experience this before?

[TX] Background check with ESS

Thankfully I've received a job offer but conditional on my background check. I fudged some dates due to Covid. Should I upload the correct dates in the background check and fill in the gap with freelancing that actually happened?

Please advise. Thank you

Background check with ESS

Thankfully I've received a job offer but conditional on my background check. Unfortunately I fudged start and end dates in my resume.

Should I upload the correct dates for the background check and fill in the gap with freelancing? This won't match my resume I uploaded to my future employer though. Ahhhh please help with any information.

ESS background screening

I need to submit my background screening. Do they contact past employees or go by data in database systems?

Also if you put contact current employer, do they speak with your manager or HR? Thanks!

Background checks with ESS. How deep do they go in verification of employment dates?

I fudged some gaps due to Covid 19. How screwed am I? ESS is looking for a resume as well to be uploaded.

Any insights on what information is returned to Tesla for review? I think I'm screwed.

[TX] Resume date discrepancy before background check – how bad is this?

I'm looking for some honest HR advice.

I had about a 1.5-year employment gap between jobs due to Covid. On earlier versions of my resume, I listed that period as freelance/independent consultant because I was doing some occasional consulting work, but it wasn't full-time or very structured. Later, when I updated my resume, I made a poor decision and instead stretched the dates of my previous and next employers to cover most of the gap. I realize now that was a mistake.

I'm now completing a pre-employment background check. I plan to enter my actual employment dates, even though they won't match my resume.

For HR professionals or recruiters:

Is it generally better to provide the correct dates on the background check even if they differ from the resume?

How often do employers rescind offers over date discrepancies like this?

If asked, is it best to simply acknowledge that I inaccurately represented the dates on my resume and provide the correct timeline?

I'm not looking for ways to hide anything. I just want to handle this as honestly and professionally as possible from this point forward.

Offer extended

Received a call with an offer from the recruiter. Looking to get some feedback on the following:

- how much can an offer and equity be negotiated?

- any tips before submitting an evidence of excellence?

- what's a typical start and end time at the Austin gigafactory for a full time employee?

- how's the flexible time off policy - how many days are you able to take off yearly?

Any other information you can share will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

[10+ YoE, Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, Senior Procurement Manager / Director of Procurement, Houston, TX]

I've been applying for senior procurement and supply chain manager roles and wanted to get some outside opinions on my resume. I'm currently employed as a consultant, but the travel is becoming brutal.

A few things I'm wondering:

- What's the first thing that stands out, good or bad?

- Are the bullet points too long or difficult to read?

- If you were a recruiter, would you interview me based on this resume? If not, what would make you pass?

- Anything you'd change to improve my chances?

Feel free to be brutally honest. I'd rather hear it here than keep sending out a resume that needs work.

Thanks!

Shower valve only has hot water. Can't remove handle—no set screw anywhere.

I'm trying to replace the shower cartridge because the shower only produces hot water (no cold at all).

The problem is I can't get the handle off.

There is no brand name anywhere on the trim or valve.

I've looked inside the front hole where the lever attaches—there is no Allen/set screw.

I've also checked behind and underneath the handle and don't see any hidden set screw or cap.

The cone-shaped piece behind the lever has moved out slightly and exposes a brass sleeve, but it won't come off even when twisting and pulling.

The shower turns on/off by rotating the handle (not pulling it out).

Does anyone recognize this valve/trim and know how this handle is removed? Is the cone supposed to pull straight off, unscrew, or is there a hidden fastener I'm missing?

Any help identifying the valve or cartridge would be greatly appreciated.
