Maiden Voyage

Just got back from an overnight backpacking trip to Lilian Lake in Kananaskis Country. Took my new Xmid along and pitched it on a platform overlooking the lake. I was able to get a nice pitch using these anchor pegs wjth integrated spring and carabiner. Shout out to geartrade.ca who I believe make these - I’ve only ever seen the straight up anchor peg version. Great tent - very versatile and looking forward to many trips with it.

How to pack and store stakes

First question here so I thought make it a stupid one. Just pitched and took down my new x-mid 2 and was wondering where you folks stored your stakes? They come in a nice dyneema bag. Should I slip it between the stuff sack and tent body, roll it up with the tent, or store it separately?

Sanding out water stains

I have some water stains on the walls of my sauna from aggressive water throwing on stove rocks and am looking to sand them out. Wood is western cedar. Which is better to use - an orbital or belt sander?
