I'm at a loss... Heavy FPS drops with a fairly good PC
Hi everyone, I'm having massive performance issues while playing the "Superior RPG" modpack (Minecraft 1.20.1), i did not modify in any way the mod list, I really need some help. As you can see in the video, my FPS suddenly drops down out of nowhere, and my GPU usage spikes to 100%. The crazy part is that I am not using any shaders. With my setup, I should easily get over 200 FPS which is the refresh rate of my 1440p monitor.
Here are my specs
- CPU: I5 14600kf
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT
- Java Version: Java 17 from adoptiun
- RAM: 32 GB Allocated RAM: 8 GB
These are my JVM arguments

What I've checked so far:
-Tried changing JVM arguments and java version, but nothing stops the random drops
- Render distance is set to a reasonable level. Since the GPU hits 100% without shaders, I don't know if this is a massive mod conflict/memory leak, an AMD driver issue, or something else.
- This modpack IS running all the major performance mods like embeddium and ferrite core
- I'm playing on my locally hosted server (hosted on another pc)
Any advice on how to fix this or what could be causing this? Thanks in advance!
