High calorie, low flavor recipes

Hi, food enjoyers. I’m looking for some recipes that have a really high calorie count/are nutritious for their portion. and are somewhat bland, though sweetness is okay.

I have trouble getting myself to eat so I want to jam pack as much energy as possible before I chicken out.* what recipes do you have?

Okay weight or waxworm time?

Apologies for the poor photo, this is Garnet! Garnet is a very very anxious frog - if anything goes wrong ever, she will become a leaf.

But since Garnet is shaped like a spoon and is so shy, I cannot tell if she‘s a healthy weight (her big wide torso) or underweight (her spindly little hips and legs). A quick once over by more experienced RETF keepers would be lovely :)

thank you :3

Lightning recommendations (RETF)

hey all! just looking for some lighting recommendations for my red eye. just switched her from a 10gal to a 20gal, and my old setup no longer reaches far enough. her temp gradient is WAY too low for my liking, by a LONG SHOT. I‘m talking “I want 85 at the top and its currently 71” type long shot. her day light plus old heat emitters are fine, but could be better. but night is so far from what I want and I feel so bad for my little tropical baby.

tldr, need good recs for a night heater!

I smell a heel turn. The evil is stored in the chest hair.

he’s acting like hogan, doing heelish stuff, and most importantly: he’s not shaving his chest. the evil is stored in the hair. he will turn heel. I will it into existence

Eek! She’s brown!

I’m new to RETFs so I have NO idea how standard this is but I will run cautiously every time.

I’ve only had her a week, this is the color she was when I turned on her day light for the morning. She’s usually, yk, bright green. I immediately had to leave for work.

Cause for concern? Vet time? or normal? I haven’t seen any websites mention turning BROWN!

(10g, younger frog; temp 75-80, humidity 72-82, bioactive; day/night cycle)

RETF night viewing

My girl has been home for about a week now. She’s in a 10gal (for now, I intend to upgrade to 20 when she gets bigger) and she’s doing well. Bioactive tank (mostly isopods), mid to high 70s temp with a day/night cycle and 75 to 85% humidity usually, full of stuff to climb, broad leafed plants, etc. A photo is attached - since I’m a new keeper, I’m always open to suggestions to improve <3

Now, when I got her, I was more than aware fhat RETFs are not really viewing pets. I didn’t get a RETF because I wanted a frog and they were pretty; I got a RETF because I am obsessed with RETFs specifically. BUT..

I do want to be able to view her awake a few times a week to make sure she is doing well. Hunting successfully (crickets ARE vanishing), exercising, etc.

Being nocturnal, she will not move from her leaf pose with any lights on. Does anyone have any suggestions for nighttime viewing?

I do have a red light (see photos), but I’ve heard highly mixed opinions from other RETF keepers on them.

Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions?

What’s your pet and what do you feed it?

specifically my carnivorous pet keeping friends! I have a pair of house spiders (castianeira longipalpa and Steatoda borealis) but I struggle to give them fruit flies because they can escape out the vents.

wtf are activations

I’ve been basically just pet care for a few years but occasionally cashier when i need to be. Ive been pushed by higher up to get more activations so I’ve been getting more people to sign up for rewards, but then told activations are actually the rewards offers in the app. I have no idea how to incorporate “oh go to our website and redeem some offers lmao” into my spiel because I barely know what they are.
