Noticed an mistake in the Jeopardy episode
For this answer, the question was "What is Pirates of the Caribbean?", but this is actually wrong, as if we're just going by Disney films, the real question to pair with this answer is "What is Tower of Terror?". In fact, before PotC, there are two other films based on theme park attractions besides ToT, that being Mission to Mars and The Country Bears.
I think Sam chose PotC because it matched the theme of the episode and likely because pop culture osmosis made him believe it was the first franchise to be based on an attraction. I guess if you technically wanted to fudge the results to give it to PotC, you could argue it's about a franchise, and ToT is technically based on the Twilight Zone due to the theming of the ride. And Mission to Mars is not a franchise. Though, the Country Bears could be considered a franchise, still.
Edit: since some people seem to not understand, "Pirates of the Caribbean" would only be referring to "this hit Hollywood franchise" in the answer. This makes the statement "Pirates of the Caribbean was the first ever to be adapted from a theme park ride, rather than the other way around." The statement is objectively false. It is not referring to the act purely in terms of just franchises, it is referring to adaptations in general.
