AITAH? He won’t review my company

39f, 44m, 2y 8m long relationship

I (39f) left my job of 8 years in a declining shop to start my own one woman barbershop. I have an extensive clientele (450 regulars). My (44m) bf has not had to pay for his haircuts for the last two years. That was my decision (he never asked for it). He comes every 3 weeks, without having to schedule his own appointments.

He knows I’m scared about how many clients I’ll actually retain (as we’re told our entire schooling and career to expect to lose 50% anytime we change shops). He knows how much I need reviews because I told him how important reviews are early on in my decision to take this leap of faith in myself.

Anyhow, Monday was his appointment. I asked him twice to make a review to help me rebuild in case I lose people. The second time I reminded him (Tuesday), he had an attitude and said “I said I’ll do it”. I’ve only been opened since May 6th. I have 31 5 star reviews (6 of which came for their appointments after his) and he still hasn’t made a review. I refuse to remind him again and every day that he hasn’t, I feel more and more disrespected.

It sucks to see men with numerous kids, along with sport activities, and a wife find the time to write detailed reviews while my bf of 2.5 years and no kids not even make an effort. And I know from past experiences that if I bring it up he’ll either say “I can’t do anything right” and huff and puff or completely shut down. Also, if I have to ask him one more time and then he does it, it feels disingenuous to me and means nothing.

So, am I the ah or is it valid to feel hurt and distant by his lack of support in my financial future especially since we don’t live together so my money doesn’t hurt his?

TLDR: bf hasn’t made a review for the free haircut I gave him at my newly self owned barbershop in 3 days even though he knows it’s important to me

Am I overreacting or is this bs?
