How come there are no street racing sims?

Every racing sim out there seems to be focusing only on track racing, be it GT or formula, and every street racing game seems to be arcade. Why is that? Is there no interest in street racing with realistic physics? And don't we have enough track racing sims already? Have any games tried this and flopped? Seems like something that would be better off being done in videogames than on actual streets.

Or are there some that i've missed?

does the cassette player do anything?

[SOLVED]

the cassette player gives the impression that it's meant to actually play music, especially since you can put in different cassettes in and remove them. but there is no option to play the music or anything of the sorts.

does it work? and if so, how do i use it?

i just busted my butt to deliver 50 of the 4.6 ammo for a task, traveling to vostok about 8 total times in order to find all of it (sometimes bringing back just 10 at a time), and even though i don't get to keep it, that would have been just barely over a single mag's worth! none of the traders sell the ammo. how would you then use the weapon??

there is a very small chance to find the cellar key, but once you do, there is some small-ish chance to find good loot once you get in it. (this also applies to the gymnasium key)

but this situation of finding something rare, only to then find out that it gets you nothing of value, is more likely to make one disappointed by the game than being captivated by it.

so in my humble opinion, if the special loot really is meant to be this rare, it would be better to lower the probability of finding the key in the first place, to then guarantee something good once you open the crate.

this entire run was (poorly) put together after i found the PV7, so i wanted to check if the enemies are really programmed to be less likely to notice you during night time. so i planned the trip to leave at dusk from outpost so that all of the action would happen during the night, and indeed nobody saw me up until the moment of this pic.

i one-tapped one guy on apartments (first pass), then sprayed another guy on terminal (that's the 13 total missing bullets in the mag), and only realized the ammo mistake when i went to reload the 13-bullet mag in apartments on my way back.

i then decided i would leave the empty space in my backpack empty, and just become a sprinting pacifist. however, this is already dawn time, so i was in fact spotted by 3 more enemies on my way back, but i did have enough ammo for that.

in case anyone is wondering there, the gun (K416) uses .223, and i took 5.45 (bottom of the inventory there).

don't even get me started on the fact that i forgot to take a fresh helmet and chest plate...

anyway, mission successful 🫡
