How did you decide on baby #2

Hi there!

Im a FTM and my baby is 14 months now.

She was my dream come true as I always wanted to be a mom! As I was pregnant, I was very sure that I will only have one baby and be done. My pregnancy was so easy no symptoms, no pains nothing. Delivery as well. All was perfect.

As soon as I gave birth I felt in love with her. She was the most perfect newborn that I ever saw.

As soon as she hit 2 months, I felt a very strong urge to have another baby. Idk if thats a hormone thing? Eventho she was quite a difficult baby, colicky, always crying never sleeping (she still doesnt sleep properly and before her I NEEDED to sleep 12 hr straight😂) I felt that our family was not complete. More like another soul is waiting to join our family (Im not religious so thats weird but thats how I felt)

I started to talk to my husband and he was a no no for another baby as it’s challenging financially but I still feel that there is one more baby that belongs in our family.

Also worth mentioning: Im the default parent that stat at home, my husband work. I dont have any family that helps

Id love to hear from the ones that had the #2 how did you decide? Whats the age gap? How challenging was it?

Thanksss

How do you deal with nap

My almost 15 months old baby just transitioned to one nap but her nap is max 1 hr which leads to early bedtime and a lot of wakes at night

She aleays used to wake at night but now its more frequent and I am so confused what to do

When on two naps she would have total ~2 hr of naps and ~10.5 hr nights and now she has 1 hr nap and 11-12 hr nights. Now I know her nights are longer now but its the only way to survive since she naps for short time and cant make it to a proper bedtime so Im forced to do early bedtime

Ive tried giving catnaps but she only accepted 1-2 times

Does it get better with time or should I go back to 2 naps I am confused of what to do

Her mornings shifted later than with 2 naps she used to wake up sharp 6am now its got closer to 7 am

Is she overtired and wakes more at night or is it just art of transition?

Did your babies lengthen the nap with time or are we doomed 🥲🥲🥲

Is this a regression? 14mo?

My baby has just turned 14 mos and our two nap clock working schedule has gotten all over the place…

She used to do 2-2.15 hours of naps and 11-11.25 hr nights but for some reason for a month now we are struggling!

She still takes two naps but oh boys those naps are all over the place… sometimes the first one 4-4.5 hrs ww sometimes 3 and sometimes they are 30 mins long sometimes 1 hr.. she doesnt refuse a second nap and that one also has shrinked into 25-35 mins tops and bedtime has gotten later than ever with 10-10.5 hr of nights sleep (there are days that this is 9.5 hr)

I was wondering to drop a nap but she is not napping properly to make it to bedtime with just an hour nap?

Is this a regresssion or what? Anyone dealt with something like this?

Pls help

2 to 1 nap tell me your secrets

Hi everyone,

I have a 11 and a half month old who has decreased the total night sleep from 11.5 to barely 10 hours a night resulting to 6 am sharp wake up😭

She does around 2-2.5 hr of naps (2 naps) sleeps independently also and last week did 1 night of STTN for the first and only time!!

I am wondering if she is giving signals to drop to 1 nap but I know it is very tricky so tell me all your secrets, when and how you dropped to 1 nap

Thank youuuuu
