110 years separates these two Springfield Armory 1911s from my collection.
The Springfield Armory (IL) that produced the bottom 1911a1 in 2025 is unrelated to the Springfield Armory (MA) that produced the top M1911 in 1915. Aside from the name, they share nothing in common. Nonetheless - cool to see what 110 years apart looks like, as close as you can get to the original.
First time prepping for winter with a wood stove in the home we just bought. 2 cords of mixed hardwood and threw together some cheap racks. Stored off to the side of the yard on a bit of an incline. Happy with how it came out. Could probably get 3 cords total on these 3 racks if I really wanted to
Bought 2 cords and once I am done stacking I am debating how to go about saving the little kindling pieces for starting fires. First time getting green wood to season and looking for ideas. Thanks in advance
