I've been listening to The Colour of Magic, and I don't think it's entirely for me. Is there a point to continuing the series?

So I'm new to discworld. I'll preface this with the disclaimer that I don't mean to be disrespectful or attack anyone. I'm almost done with the colour of magic, and I listened to the Nome trilogy right before starting it, and the experience was pretty similar. I can see that the books are well written, and I think I get most of the jokes, I just don't find them very amusing, I guess. Truth be told, I've done very little research about discworld before starting to listen to it, and some part of me maaaay have expected a straight forward fantasy instead of the satire.

I'm just not sure if this a case of the series having some books be hit and miss for some people or if its just not for me personally, and if anyone else had a similar starting experience of being mostly indifferent about the first book before enjoying the rest of the series to the point of loving it.

Edit: thanks everyone for commenting. The replies came in a lot faster than I expected, it's kinda overwhelming. I mostly listen to books while commuting, and I'll continue listening to discworld instead of looking for anything else for the time being, and I'll keep the books everyone recommended in mind
