Cat physio therapy London

Hey hive mind,

Our cat recently got diagnosed with hip dysplasia. The specialist isn't based in London so the recommendations he was able to give weren't viable for us.

I'm looking for recommendations that ideally are in and around east London but will to travel to other areas of London if there are lots of rave reviews for a place.

Also if people have experience with claiming through PetPlan that would be a bonus but I may be asking for a unicorn with all these criteria.

Feeling positive (UK based)

I have been on new medication for a few months now and my seizures seem to be worse. I was giving it a chance but I was at my limit a couple weeks ago and contacted the epilepsy nurse to share my concerns and ask what next. I've never contacted them before so I wasn't sure what to expect. In just over a week I got notifications on all the apps that my 2027 appointment had been moved forward to next week.

I am lucky that I have been assigned a good hospital that actually has an epilepsy department (not my experience for the first 32 years of my life), but I never expected action this quickly. I wanted to share an NHS win because it's rough sometimes and when you get the care that most doctors and nurses etc would in an ideal world be able to give it feels like a huge win.

Season 5

I've just started season 5 and it feels like it's suddenly dropped off. I'm just not vibing so far. Does it get better? I know we're learning about the other characters but some of the episodes feel like filler

Gastro diets

We would like to get our 5 year old off steroids (extremely low dose). Our vets opinion is that we should try but it's also absolutely fine on a low dose as well.

I'm wondering what food recommendations you guys have for gastro/IBD diets? For reference our cats currently eat katkin.

Mandatory cat tax included. Starbuck on the left with IBD. She's a miniature 5 year old. Steven Universe on the right who is 5 months old and has no issues other than being a fussy kitten.

Teething recommendations

Hello all,

Our nearly 5 month old is in a painful (for everyone) teething stage. For want of him not using everyone else in the house as a teething toy what recommendations do people have?

My feet, ankles, hands, knees and other cat can't take much more 😅

New medication tips and tricks

So for the first time in 10 years I'm trying a new medication. I'm aware of potential side effects and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks to manage side effects if they come up. The medication for reference is Lacosomide, I already take lamotrigine.

Please don't share horror stories about the medication, my anxiety can't take that. My heart has been screened and is all clear to try without any prior concerns.

Utility supplier recommendations

So we are moving and need to choose new energy suppliers. After years with Octopus over the last year we have had a consistently awful experience so we need to find someone new. Gas and electric.

I'm looking for recommendations based in quality of customer service as well as price. We'd ideally like a green plan

Give me your recommendations

We are getting a new kitten soon. We've always adopted older cats so it's our first chance to start fresh with training.

Can people please share their tips and tricks for getting your cats used to teeth cleaning and claw clipping.

And then for fun tell me the other things you have worked on training with your cats that you would recommend to everyone.
