Treadmill in Apt
I’m postpartum and trying to get back into working out/running. With a baby and a toddler, working out during nap time seems like the most realistic option, so I’ve been considering getting a treadmill.
My biggest concern is being a good neighbor. I live in an apartment and really don’t want to make life miserable for whoever is below or next door.
I’ve looked into ways to reduce noise and vibration (thick rubber flooring, a treadmill mat, anti-vibration pads, etc.), but I’m wondering if those actually make enough of a difference in real life.
Has anyone here successfully used a treadmill for jogging (6mph) in an apartment without getting complaints? If so:
What kind of treadmill do you have?
Did you use any mats or vibration-reducing setup?
Did your downstairs neighbors ever mention hearing it?
I’d love to hear real experiences before I invest in one. Thanks!
