Appreciation post for Urwa hocane and Sana Javed

Just finished watching BTSH, I watch aap ki izzat also on a regular basis and i can't help but appreciate these two a listers /established actors.

They are the only two a listers/established actresses right now who are really doing well in ongoing dramas these days. Like both of them are so good with their looks and acting. Its so on point. I wonder why we don't talk about them as much. They have been brilliant.

I am not watching Aik Aur Mohabbat so I can't say about maya though I have heard she is doing well. So credit to her also.

Dumpukht is such an underrated watch

I recently watched it and was thinking how not many folks have watched it. I really liked this girl sonia mishal and her chemistry with bilal. They were so intense. Young love trying to make its way in a harsh world. Also breaking some myths. Good project by kashif nisaar

Zanjeerain is such a ragebait now

Like this show literally triggers the F out of me. I mean such dheela dhala episode again. The two red flags got married. Just to show they are not red they added the bare minimum scenes of them having flashbacks. What's wrong with farhat to keep writing this forced nonsense. I mean why couldn't they keep these platonic. As of now I just want to reach that where sb gets to know everything but still this show is such an assault on my senses and brain cells. And they are cutting the episode so short to maybe reach that 1 billion mark.

BTSH is dragging now

For the past few weeks it's only ansa telling anas -mujhe apne mujrim ko pakad wana hai , dada ji with hand on heart , mursleen - chup karwao isse , anas - flirting yet at the same time stopping his wife from getting justice.

I am enjoying harris waheed but that zoya track is taking over. I am the enjoying the show but it's dragging a bit now

Episode 4 Darenijaat review

Episode beings at the same conversation where it ended kar episode , the mother asking dadi to have not scolded zaryab in front of her friends especially Zaamil. So Zaryaab is shown to be really bratty while Zaamil is shown to be inscure. They both do have intensity for each other but Zaryab's is on next level.

I liked Nameer's performance today. He was quite natural. But the proximity between Zaryab and Zaamil today made me feel, have they gotten physical already ? I couldn't quite understand why Zaamil suddenly got to so insecure if abu bakar , is it dadi liking him for Zaryab, is it him having attended harvard already and ge couldn't get it , still the trigger wasn't understable to me till the last scene where Zaryab's elder sister tells her about Zaamil using some stuff(D..gs) which explains the earlier conversation about deteriorating mental health of Zaamil between his mother and sister.

Also, I am finding dadi quite obnoxious she moral polices way too much and even on

clothes which I found a bit too much.

We also saw abu bakar working for a big firm which made me think why he was driving such a small car then ? Its so far been a decent watch for me, some plots obviously interest me like sania saeed's guilt and pain.

I quite like the background piano score, it does add value to the scenes. I like the direction and production quality a lot. The houses used atleast I haven't seen them before. So that's good on 3s production

Ps - dure's poor accent is distracting.

Episode 2 Darenijaat Review

  1. Episode begins with Zaryab convincing Zaamil to cheer up. Okay dure needs to fix her accent. The transition between urdu to english and back is poor and her english accent sounds made up.

Nameer was decent

  1. I am liking Sania Saeed's track and she seems to be genuinely in guilt or pain. Her conversation with abu bakar made me feel she has done something wrong in past and she feels terribly guilty about it. Her scenes with sherry leave impact.

  2. Then it was the drive to zaryab's house. The comparison between statuses of abu bakar and zaryab was shown via cars.

  3. There were scenes of them practicing for dance for zaryab's older sister's shaadi and they were trying. I found daddo a little too much here I mean there will always be noise in a house where shaadi is happening what was he expecting.

  4. Credit to saba hameed and farhan tahir, as much as there is critique for them for doing maa beta and miya biwi for same channel, they do convince me about that they are maa beta.

  5. I like the conversation between daadi and khushbhakht. They genuinely bring grace to screen and look like two ladies talking about after long.

Overall I am genuinely liking the production quality, gloss and just today they released the OST too. Even the introductory track is very nice and catchy.

Good breezy watch for now.

Faiza calls out Rind

Honestly about time writers started calling out directors and who better to start with than Rind. He made similar mess in some of his previous projects also. He really goes overboard with his style. Makes the script so incoherent. Honestly it gets frustrating and so confusing sometimes.

Goodbye Dr Bahu - you were incredible !

Posting this here, since the other sub confuses me with all the rules about the number of posts and apparently there are set people, idk. Anyways.

I will truly miss this show. One of the rare gems in this ratrace of numbers, views ,trps. Dr Bahu needs to be studied for its handling of an ensemble and how to weave so many stories together so seamlessly.

So Dr Sania and Salman name their baby Shuja(haha cute). I didn't want sania to take a decision just after giving birth since you get all hormonal and I didn't want a rachel moment of hers. So, I was really worked up when salman was making her all emotional. I don't know how I feel about telling your wife who has just given birth about all that what salman said to her. I mean I would panic and not let my partner go honestly but glad sania held her nerves and didn't give in.

The show has perfect thrill, it was interesting to see salman confronting shahnawaz finally and good fight sequence between him and arham.

That conversation between dr shahnawaz and his man was lmao and quite satisfied honestly. The way he called him daaku 😂. So shahnawaz gets advised to leave the country since th scandal is all blown up in media now. Shahnawaz remembering hai wife's words. I still don't think he feels guilty and still finding reasons to blame his dead wife somehow.

Ahh the most appeasing part the final conversation between Salman and Sanya.

ITS A HAPPY ENDING. They reconcile and now they understand each other much better.

Rant on Zanjeerain

Over the past few weeks,

Zanjeerain has completely devolved into peak melodrama, abandoning its original grit to chase viral social media trends. The pacing has slowed to an absolute crawl, dragging out basic conversations while fast-tracking ridiculous, logicless action sequences that defy all common sense. Nothing highlights this downward spiral more than the absolute butchering of Sarbuland’s character. Instead of driving the plot with authority, his character is now trapped in repetitive, logic-defying scenarios designed solely to generate emotional "Twitter bait". And OMG, the scenes between Rabiya Sarbuland are so dragged, repetetive and slow. I am thoroughly frustrated by how a promising narrative has been sacrificed for generic sensationalism.

Makers need to realize the twitter audience is just drop in the ocean, people were watching the show for thrill, suspense, revenge, plot and so much more. Instead they are giving me DISCOVER PAKISTAN and CHEAP THRILLS.

My opinion on Bas Tera Saath Ho

I have been enjoying BTSH honestly. Loving Harris Waheed and his comic yet evil role. I have a feeling Shirin will go through the same thing anas and ansa has gone through. What I am not liking is anas' character. Why is he so passive during confrontations and so passionate while romancing. Anas is putting me off these days . Ansa obviously loving her. Sana is so good when playing strong characters and she is looking so beautiful. I wish thy had given some more spine to anas. He not only doesn't confront anyone himself but also stop ansa from confrontation. He is annoying me. Rest I am loving Harris, Farhan waheed and Saba Ji's characters. Its a good watch. Never found it testing my patience.

Also what I don't understand how will Anas defend himself when ansa will know how he has been hiding shayan's crime from her all along.

Don't watch AMA , but found this insanely cute

I was going through some reels and found this and found it insanely cute. Ahad must have bonded to the child to get these scenes out.

My opinion on zanjeerein

Personally to me , sherbano(sahar) and sarbuland (danyal) chemistry was much better classier tasteful than rabiya(sajal) and sarbuland (danyal) chemistry .They have ruined sarbuland's character completely and i would have loved if rabia surbuland was kept platonic and sarbuland honest and loyal to Bano. I dont mind people moving on but rabia sarbuland arc is way too hurried cringe forced for me to root for and bano sarbuland chemistry was magical. The word honestly is pure and such sweetness and honesty. Honestly they have ruined a great show with thos forced arc. It had so much potential. They should have kept it true to the original script which was perhaps cukur and not forced this sarbiya ship on us. Honestly the neutral audience loved sarbano more but they are more silent mature audience who didnt come here after watching some out of context reels but rather followed the show from start. The show has been slow throughout and there have been events which picked it up.

For example Mudassir's death and then bano's so its not any chemistry which picked up the show but the hook revenge the thrill the scheming and in the midst of all this the loving and caring bond of sarbuland bano which was so pure that u didnt want these two innocents to be separated. honestly i was only rooting for them and wanted that to be endgame or atleast show sarbuland loyal or have enough time gap before move on and still keep loving bano in his heart. I would anyday prefer a sarbuland mourning bano and taking revenge for her rather than a sarbuland doing cringe romance with rabiya. I hope the makers dont ruin it further but looks like a lost case already.

The loss of Narrative: The Ruined Arc of Zanjeerain

The Loss of a Magical Narrative: The Ruined Arc of Zanjeerain

The fundamental issue with the current trajectory of Zanjeerain lies in the stark contrast between the classy, tasteful, and innocent chemistry of Sarbuland and Bano versus the hurried, cringeworthy, and artificial romance forced between Sarbuland and Rabiya.

The Purity of "Sarbano" vs. The Forced "Sarbiya" Ship

The bond between Sarbuland (Danyal Zafar) and Bano (Sahar Hashmi) was the authentic emotional anchor of the drama. Built on a foundation of childhood history, mutual understanding, and a quiet, unassuming sweetness, their love felt incredibly pure. Bano served as Sarbuland’s safe haven before the burdens of the Sardaari and grief altered his world.

In contrast, replacing this magical dynamic with Rabiya (Sajal Aly) feels like a massive misstep by writer Farhat Ishtiaq and director Shahzad Kashmiri. The transitions feel tailor-made for short, out-of-context social media reels rather than cohesive storytelling.

Total Destruction of Character Logic

By pushing Sarbuland into a romantic dynamic so quickly after Bano’s tragic disappearance and presumed death, the makers have completely compromised his integrity. Instead of portraying a deeply loyal man mourning his lost love and channeling his grief into a dark, gritty revenge plot, he has been written into an unbearable "red flag" who lacks genuine remorse. The show was never carried by basic romantic tropes; its momentum came from high-stakes thrills, tribal scheming, and critical narrative hooks like the shocking deaths of Mudassir (Ameer Gilani) and Sherdil (Ahsan Khan). The story would have retained its prestige had the relationship between Sarbuland and Rabiya been kept strictly platonic.

A Departure from Gritty Potential

The overarching sentiment among neutral viewers is that the script has abandoned its original, superior potential-which felt reminiscent of the structural, family-feud intensity of a Turkish crime drama like Çukur-in favor of standard television shipping. Having Sarbuland actively hunt down the perpetrators to avenge Bano while preserving her memory in his heart would have delivered a powerful, respectable masterpiece. Instead, by prioritizing a rushed "Sarbiya" timeline, the makers have severely diluted a great show, making the final act feel like a lost case of squandered potential.
