It's difficult to really advise people on what changes to make to their floor plans when there isn't much information to go off of, so how about we make a list of things we'd like for posters to put in their posts that would be useful for us to help give them advice for their floor plans?

Don't know if anyone made a post like this already, but I figured it'd be good to discuss!

Things that help us with giving good advice include:

• (His_little_pet) Having what country/climate you live in in the title of the post (iasmatt) or at least northern or southern hemisphere
• Is your home meant to be a forever home or meant to be age-in-place/ADA-compliant
• (His_little_pet) What do you want from your space/what are your plans or ideas that you have in mind for your home, or are you asking for general feedback
• (His_little_pet) Who will be living in the space you design
• (lucky_neutron_star) Do you like having the TV mounted over a fireplace
• (Xochi09 and iasmatt) Is you floor plan a new build, addition, or renovation
• (Xochi09) What is your general budget (limitless or can't afford to move a load-bearing wall)
• *(iasmatt)* Have a compass or arrow that shows which way is North
• (iasmatt) Post measurements
• (iasmatt) Post the full floor plan or at least adjoining spaces and rooms
• (iasmatt) Show a site plan and any specific views, access, or things to consider
• (iasmatt) Elevations and/or section drawings
• (CatalinaHotaru) Stating which walls are load-bearing
• (His_little_pet) If you have unusual design choices, explain why you chose them
• If it's an existing house, stating its age and the materials use to make it
