I kindly ask for your help, experienced hunter... What can I do, things I can do, gimmicks I should know about, tricks and tips that would help very much my hunts? I'm not talking about equipment or traps, those I already know, examples are the tainted meats... Flash bombs wherever the monster is about to flee, barrel bombs when the monster is asleep... These type of helps.
As I made an exact post another community related to the series, I've started playing this game, bought the DDX version along with iceborne and it's been a fantastic experience.
So, like the neat apprentice I am, I'll be sharing my loadout with you guys for your judgement, criticism or tips, guides, anything else you might share that might help me.
My current armor is the bone set, halfway upgraded
My weapon is the tobi-kadachi IG 1, 350 damage, 10% affinity, 90 thunder element. My kinsect is the saivota tree. 115 in HP and 100 in stamina.
I got the defense pendant 1
I got the stealth mantle, the gliding mantle and the health boost in special equipment
My palico also got the bone set
My current hunter rank is 7, I'm about to go to the Rotten valley, unlike rise I don't know how to identify low, high or master rank.
My current concerns: getting armor spheres, upgrading armor abilities, how to escape the monsters wrestle animation (I dread the rajang electricity beam) and I'm cracking my head trying to craft sedative bombs.
This game is great, I've always looked at the MH series with one hand in the front and one behind, but it surprised me magnificently by how fun it is, even gathering and farming is not tedious and can be quite fun. So since I've already said I've started this week I'll share my current equipment progress so you guys can give me tips, warnings and tricks in how to make my playing time better as a MH rise novice.

Gear: I've currently got the fully upgraded tetranadon set (5/5) and it's been giving me enough sturdiness.
Then I got the Petal force 1 and legacy talisman.

Weapon: I got the upgrade champion insect glaive and the saivota kinsect with the triple time bonus (in the past I was a long sword main but since I've touched insect glaive, the sky is my home now)

Switch skin: currently I only own tetra cut and tornado cut

My palamute got the full izuchi set C and his abilities are: more life (P), more attack (P), negate paralysis, knockout king. Level 13

My palico got the full tetranadon set F and current abilities are: more life (P), more defense, negate paralysis, negate sleep. Level 13

My hunter rank is 2. My attributes are: HP 100, stamina 100, attack 150, defense 161. I'm currently on 3 stars in village progress and 2 stars in Meeting area progress.

I got the black belt S starter set but I'm with tetranadon set because of aesthetic and because I'm farming barroth because his armor is really good looking. Feel free to call me noob or vein because I'm choosing aesthetic over status of armor, I'm here to learn.
