How to remove the front panel of my old Kenmore AC ?

Hi :) really need your advice !

I’m deep cleaning my AC because I’m really susceptible to mold and dust. It’s a a huge vertical window unit. It’s an old KENMORE model number 253-35737, 10 000 btu.

I’ve been able to take out the outer shell and clean the back, but I’m simply unable to take out the front panel. The plastic front panel is loose from the rest of the unit, but the electrical panel where the nobs are is connected to the rest of the unit. The electrical panel is glued to the front panel and I can’t separate the 2 from each other. I’ve search everywhere and can’t find someone with my model that solved this issue. Someone said the press hard to detach (pop out) the front panel from the electrical panel but it doesn’t really seem to be doable on mine without breaking the plastic.

Considering it’s old, the gills underneath the front panel are extra dirty.

Thank you for your help !

Is W4800 MIELE washer any good ?

My INGLIS washing machine just broke down and I need to switch washer on a low budget. I’m still looking for a quality washer. This one on marketplace is very cheep. I know Miele is a brand people recommend but I can’t find a lot of feedback on the W 4800 specifically. Anyone knows if it’s any good ? Common repairs and problems associated with it ?
